KB: Requirement Text Missing in XLSX or CSV Export - Legacy Valispace

Altium Designer Altium Designer
In version 2.09, or lower, of the on-premise Valispace system, users may encounter an issue where requirement text fields are missing from exported .xlsx or .csv files, despite selecting the appropriate text attribute. This occurs due to the Quick Load Table feature, which can prevent full data loading during export. Disabling this feature before exporting ensures that all requirement text fields are correctly included in the output.

Solution Details

Requirement Text Missing in Exported Files

Problem Description

When exporting requirement data from a project to .xlsx or .csv format, many entries appear with empty requirement text fields. Although the text attribute is selected for export, only a few requirements display the correct text, while the majority remain blank.

Why This Happens

The issue is caused by the Quick Load Table feature in version 2.09. When this feature is enabled, it may prevent the system from fully loading all requirement text data, resulting in incomplete exports.

What to Do

To resolve the issue:

  • Disable the Quick Load Table option before exporting the data.

How to Do It

  1. Open the requirement table view in the system.
  2. Locate the Quick Load Table setting.
  3. Untick or disable the option.
  4. Proceed with the export to .xlsx or .csv.
  5. Verify that all requirement text fields are now correctly included in the exported file.

Additional Notes

  • This issue is specific to version 2.09 of the on-premise system.
  • If the problem persists after disabling the Quick Load Table, consider verifying the data via the REST API to ensure completeness before export.
