Updated Connection to AltiumLive Identity Subsystem
To increase security, connections to the AltiumLive Identity subsystem are now carried out over HTTPS by default. The IdentityCloudServiceUrl entry in the LocalVault.ini file (located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Altium\Altium365 folder for the default installation) is now https://ids.api.altium.com/ids?cls=soap by default.
For information for an organization's IT department, refer to the Information for IT Departments page.
Configuration of Connecting the Part Catalog Service to the Cloud Altium Identity Service
The LocalVault.ini file (located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Altium\Altium365 folder for the default installation) now includes the AllowLogin entry in the [PartCatalog:CloudIds] section (true by default). Changing the value of this option to false will prevent the Part Catalog service from connecting to the cloud Altium Identity service, to authenticate with the online Ciiva service for component data retrieval. While anonymous access prevents the use of personalized services (like IHS), it might be beneficial in environments with restricted connectivity to the internet (no more waiting for connection timeouts) or if you are not subscribed to such extra services. With this option set to false, proxy settings are now respected by the Part Catalog.
For information for an organization's IT department, refer to the Information for IT Departments page.

SVN Retirement
Starting from this release, SVN is no longer supported in the Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server.
-
It is no longer possible to upgrade the server from a previous version or a previous server technology if the use of SVN repositories is currently enabled for that server.
-
Existing SVN projects will become read-only. It is recommended that they be migrated to the Workspace's native Git repository (this can be performed prior to upgrading the server, from Altium Designer – learn more).
-
The Admin – VCS page has been removed from the browser interface.
For more information, refer to the SVN Discontinuation with Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server 7.2.1 Knowledge Base article.
Support for Variant-level Parameters in PLM Publication
Support for variant-level parameters in the PLM project publication mapping has been added. Resolution of variables in PLM configuration files has been extended to perform as follows:
-
For the base design (no variations), the value of the project-level parameter is used.
-
For a variant, the value of the variant-level parameter is used.
This provides you better control over the identifier part of a document name.
For more information, refer to the PLM Integration page.
