KB: Access training resources to jumpstart on Altium for the first time or after a long break

Solution Details

Training materials are accessible mostly in public domain via web browser, while to gain hands-on experience, many reference designs and sample data are available within Altium Designer.  First and foremost, sign in at ALTIUMLIVE with your AltiumLive credentials to download an installer from: ALTIUM DOWNLOADS
AltiumLive account is the gateway into the Altium ecosystem including:
-  online support: Altium Support
-  user forum: ALTIUM FORUMS
-  bug report: ALTIUM BUGCRUNCH

In order to activate a license for its full usage, your credentials need to be associated to an organization in which active license seats are allocated. 
If not already, please have your Group Administrator add you to the organization:

New to Altium Designer:

If you are entirely new to Altium or even to PCB design, the best place to get you jump-started is by going through a step-by-step, hands-on tutorial here:

New to 64-bit Version:
If you come from version 17 and previous, Altium Designer presents an entirely new look and feel starting at version 18.  Look through our legacy documentation to find what was new with the release of Altium Designer 18.0.  There is a page named "A Fresh User Interface" that will be very helpful, and there's another page named, "Upgrading to Altium Designer 18 - a Visual Transition Guide for Existing Users" that explains where to find things that have been moved.

In general, it is of a good practice to check what's included/changed in the version you are installing:

There are other reference designs/examples that may fit your specific context/need, and those are available as:

-  Examples bundled at the installation path C:\Users\Public\Documents\Altium\<AD_version>\Examples\
-  Sample data upon activation of a A365 workspace with the option Include sample data
-  Components you can download as a local library file or save to your A365 workspace from Manufacturer Part Search
